Alexander Bardenz studied law at the Westphalian Wilhelm University of Münster. In 1997, he obtained his doctorate on the topic of “From German to International Invoicing – German Commercial Code and IAS” under Prof. Dr. Bernhard Großfeld LL.M at the latter’s Institute for International Business Law and Comparative Law where he was engaged as academic assistant from 1993 to 1996. Following a stay in London to do research at the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC), he worked as Senior Associate at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Dusseldorf from 1998 to 2000 where he simultaneously acted as Board and Supervisory Board assistant in a team of specialists. In 2000, he then moved on to Aderhold & Kollegen Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft GmbH where he was appointed Partner in 2005. Since April 2011, Alexander Bardenz has been working as a lawyer and partner at Aderhold Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH in Dortmund.
Alexander Bardenz is lecturer for banking and capital market law at the Hagen Law School, member of the Banking Law Association and lecturer in the master program “Business Law” at the Westphalia Wilhelm University in Münster (JurGrad gGmbH). In 2019, Alexander Bardenz was awarded Best Lawyer in banking and capital market law for the sixth time by Handelsblattverlag, and for the first time also in product liability law.
In 2019 he was admitted to the bar in Dortmund as a notary.
