Thorsten Siepe studied law at the Universities of Passau and Anger (France) and the Rhenish Friedrich Wilhelm University of Bonn. From 2005 to 2007, he completed his traineeship in the district of the Higher Regional Court Koblenz, after which he did research for his doctorate during a stay at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in London. From 2008 to 2010, he went on to complete his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Tim Drygala at the University of Leipzig on the topic of: “Cross-border mergers involving German and English joint stock companies”. In 2009 Thorsten Siepe kicked off his legal career as a lawyer at Gleiss Lutz in Düsseldorf. From 2011 to 2012, he worked as "Notarassessor" [notary public prior to appointment for life] in the district of the Rhenish Chamber of Notaries. Since February 2012, he has been engaged as lawyer at Aderhold Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. Thorsten Siepe has also been a lecturer at the University of Münster for the master program “Business Law & Restructuring” since 2012. In December 2016, he was admitted to the bar in Dortmund as a notary.
