Julia Pätzold studied law at the University of Leipzig, obtained her doctorate at the chair of Prof. Dr. Gero R. Dolezalek for civil law, Roman law with a focus on common law and ecclesiastical legal history at the University of Leipzig and completed supplementary studies at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer. Since December 2009 she has been working as a lawyer at Aderhold & Kollegen Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft GmbH, since April 2011 Aderhold Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. In April 2013, she was appointed "Conciliator at the Conciliation and Mediation Board of the Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce".
Julia Pätzold is a member of the German Lawyers Association (Deutscher Anwaltverein e.V.), the Working Group on Commercial and Corporate Law (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht) of the German Lawyers Association (DAV), and the local Leipzig Lawyers Association (Leipziger Anwaltsverein e.V.). She regularly participates in the events of the Commercial and Corporate Law Expert Group, which take place several times a year.
In addition, Julia Pätzold is involved in the area of legal education, whether as a lecturer at the Leipzig University of Applied Science (HTWK), as a practitioner supporting the Chair of Civil Law, Commercial and Corporate Law and Business Law at the University of Leipzig in seminars or in-house in the training of trainees and assessors. In addition, Julia Pätzold offers her support to Saxon schools for legal education (democracy education).
